 Negative pressure oil extraction is popular in oil production because of its well-known energy saving effects and good quality crude oil,but thinking of investment and production capacity, we recommend better adopt negative pressure oil extraction for big capacity edible oil extraction, better not less than 100t/d edible oil extraction, for small capacity, it's difficult to show significant effects of energy saving but cost much higher.

Negative pressure oil extraction is applicated for different edible oil extraction: peanut oil extraction, soybean oil extraction, palm oil extraction, mustard oil extraction etc.

In fact, negative pressure oil extraction mainly is talking about evaporation under negative pressure.

This technology is reusing secondary steam from desolventizer as the heat resource for first evaporation or second evaporation,because under negative pressure, the boiling point of mixed oil will be reduced, making evaporation temperature reduce and achieve to reuse secondary steam.

Under normal pressure , boiling point of mixed oil with 50% concentration is more than 80℃, secondary steam from desolventizer is about 80-82℃, which is not enough for heat exchanging. But under negative pressure, vacuum at 60-65kPa,boiling point of mixed oil is about 60-62℃, then it’s possible to reuse secondary steam from desolventizer to heat first evaporation.

Using less direct steam and reducing operation temperature inside oil plant , resulting in less recycling water consumption , fuel consumption and solvent consumption etc compared with normal pressure.

♦ Better oil quality
Because under negative pressure, mixed oil keep low temperature and avoid oil oxidized, which will get lighter color crude oil with low solvent residue,help reduce energy consumption in oil refining.

♦ Smaller condensing area
Secondary steam is not going directly to condensers under negative pressure, reducing total quantity of heat which need be condensed.,so for same capacity , equipped smaller size of condensers than normal pressure, which will save cold water consumption and total investment.
