        The fatty acid components of palm kernel oil have a melting point range of 25.9-28.0 and an iodine value of 16.2-19.2. The fatty acid composition range is C6-C20. The fatty acid type is dominated by lauric acid, accounting for about 46%-51% of the total composition. Triglyceride composition The main triglycerides are C36 and C38, and the others are less than 10%. When the ambient temperature is below 28°C, palm kernel oil is in a semi-solid state. At lower temperatures, the solids content is higher, but when the temperature is increased to 30°C, the solids content drops rapidly.

(1) Screening Screening is to use the difference in particle size between the oil and impurities, with the help of the relative movement between the oil containing impurities and the sieve surface, to remove the impurities larger or smaller than the oil through the sieve holes.

       Features: The large and small impurities in the oil can be removed through the relative movement of the sieve and different selections of the sieve surface. Screening is a traditional cleaning process. This method is simple and easy to achieve a good separation effect.

(2) Magnetic separation Magnetic separation is a method of using magnets to remove metal impurities in oil. Although the content of metal impurities in oilseeds is not high, they are very harmful and can easily cause damage to equipment, especially some high-speed operating equipment, and may even cause serious equipment accidents and safety accidents, so they must be removed.

(3) Cleaning of side-by-side mud The shape and size of side-by-side mud are similar or equal to that of oilseed, and the specific gravity is not significantly different from that of oilseed, which is called "side-by-side mud". Rapeseed, sunflower seeds, soybeans, and sesame contain a lot of side-by-side mud. The cleaning of the side-by-side mud is to use the different mechanical properties of the mud and oilseeds. First, grind or hit the oil seeds containing the side-by-side mud to crush the side-by-side mud, that is, grind the mud, and then screen or winnow the dust to remove it.

       Features: It can remove impurities that are difficult to remove. After beating and grinding, side-by-side mud can be easily removed. The fan is used to remove dust and the equipment is rationally used.

  2. Rolling The purpose of rolling is to destroy the cell tissue of oil, increase the surface area of oil, shorten the distance of oil outflow, which is beneficial to the extraction of oil and improve the effect of steaming and frying.

       During rolling, the external mechanical force can be used to destroy the cell tissue of the oil plant and the cell wall of some cells. Rolling makes the oil material change from granular to flake, reduces its thickness, increases the surface area, increases the contact surface between the billet and the solvent when the oil is extracted by solvent leaching, and shortens the diffusion distance of the oil, which is beneficial to increase the speed of leaching and depth.

       Features: The requirements for the green sheet are thin and uniform, less powdery, and no oil.

3. Steam and fry. Steaming and frying is one of the effective methods to increase oil yield, and it is also an important process in oil production. Raw palm kernels are heat-treated and then sent to oil pressing equipment for pressing, which is called hot pressing, which can increase the oil yield. The quality of steaming and frying can have a certain impact on the oil yield of palm kernel and other oils to a large extent.

4. Squeeze out the oil. Because the shape of palm kernel is different from other oils. Therefore, in the process of pressing, the requirements for pressing snails and pressing chambers are also different from those of other oil plants.
